It’s the exciting part of the year again, when ABIA Weddings celebrates couples experiences by giving out awards to deserving wedding suppliers and service providers, based on customer reviews and ratings. One Click Events has been nominated once again, and this is our fourth time to be a finalist in the photobooth category.
What is ABIA Weddings and what makes their annual recognition important to vendors like us?
ABIA Weddings is like the Tripadvisor of weddings in Australia, as they put it in their own mission statement (www.abia.com.au). Their goal is to protect wedding couples by bridging them to trustworthy vendors. They provide a platform for wedding clients to rate and review wedding businesses in their list, in the aim of helping future couples make the right decisions in selecting vendors to enlist for their much awaited dream wedding.
According to ABIA’s website, the ABIA Awards is now the longest-standing wedding industry awards in Australia since they started it in 1996. Every year, it is participated by over 30,000 married couples who rate and review thousands of wedding businesses. Needless to say, just to be included in the finalists for ABIA Awards is such an honor already, as this signifies the level of satisfaction of the customers for the wedding businesses that they have rated.
One Click Events at the ABIA Awards
It was in year 2016 when One Click Events first got listed with ABIA Weddings. One Click has been in the business only for about a couple of years then. Owners Odra and Eds were elated when they first received their confirmation mail from ABIA weddings informing them of being one of the trusted wedding businesses in their list of vendors.
On the same year, we got included in their finalists for the photobooth provider category. Just a year later, we have received the great honor of being awarded second place out of the 10 finalists. We were beyond grateful as we bagged the same place the following year.

Being an ABIA-listed vendor is a great opportunity for us to get feedback from our past clients and know if we were able to satisfy them or if we have at least met their expectations. As their chosen service provider, every couple’s dream wedding is our mission to accomplish. Hence we always take it upon ourselves to go the extra mile in ensuring we deliver based on the level of service they need from us.
On October 6, for the first time, the 22nd Victorian ABIA Annual Wedding Industry Awards was held online. Everyone waited with much excitement and anticipation to the announcement of winners. The photobooth category was the last one to be revealed and from the 10 finalists, One Click Events once again made it to the top 3. In fact, we placed strongly in second place with a final rating of 99.77. It was such a close race to the first place with only 0.03 difference in the final percentile points. This year has been extremely challenging for the events industry. Having received such impressive ratings from participating couples was really gratifying.
This is indeed the best reward any team can get especially during these difficult times. We are thankful to all the couples we have worked with not just this year but even in the past years. We are truly honored to have been part of your wedding event. Our newest ABIA badge is more meaningful to us as this signifies your continuous appreciation of our hard work.
